I’ve been thinking a lot about AI agents, usage-based software, and the second-order effects of this change that is already taking place.

I think I may have found an answer.

Chima is helping any business compress its department count by automating identified tasks within each organization.

So I wanted to do a more thorough deep dive of the company and opportunity at large.

Here are some high-level notes on why I like this one:

  • The AI-first enterprise is emerging. AI is beginning to enter every aspect of the enterprise. Businesses are experimenting with AI to reinvent entire activities ranging from coding and customer assistance to marketing, risk management, client onboarding, and contract management.

  • This is a play against the “one-size fits all AI” era. Enterprises now recognise that different models excel at different jobs, and they need flexibility from their AI stack. With the rate of innovation from frontier AI labs increasing, businesses want to take advantage of the latest advancements without being tied to a particular architecture.

  • More AI adoption = more of an emphasis on interoperability. As AI agents become more smart, the importance of system interoperability becomes evident. Enterprises are starting to investigate how AI agents from different platforms might work together to execute complicated, end-to-end activities.

All of this puts Chima an interesting to position to benefit from multiple much larger movement taking place.
