📶 Confluence.VC Behind the Scenes: February 2023 Update

We’ve both been traveling most of February, so this update is lighter than the one from last month.

Here’s what happened behind the scenes the past 28 days.

What went right:

• SEO efforts are starting to pay off with more organic search. A year ago, almost all of our traffic came direct. We decided to invest into organic content back in the fall (shoutout Surfer for giving us the tools needed to navigate SEO), and we’re starting to see some results from the work we’ve put in.

  

• Partnered with a new perk provider to offer >$1M in software savings. Confluence.VC members can access these savings by logging into the members homepage. Other readers can access all of these perks by signing up for Founder Hub.

  

• Created a recruiting service to help investors in Confluence get hired by funds looking to grow their investment teams. For the most part, we have avoided service-based businesses, but we’ve decided to invest in this because a) we think we can run this process better than other recruiting firms and b) we’ve already been doing this for free for many funds over the past two years.
