The most profitable podcast in the world 🚁

Technology Brothers officially launched yesterday.

In case you missed the announcement, it was good great, and the traffic surge led to their site crashing for a few hours.

A few thoughts on why this blew up:

  • “Sportscenter” for tech: Similar to what Sportscenter used to be for sports, they are covering the same amount of ground for the tech community. I’ve figured a show like this should have existed a while ago, but nobody else has been able to execute like them.

  • People are tired of All-In: Maybe this is just me, but it seems like everybody has stopped listening to the All-In pod, and a content gap opened (especially for the younger crowd)

  • Vibe shift: Nobody is interested in consuming generic tech / VC content anymore. People want raw / unfiltered thoughts

  • Elite short-form content: If you go through their Twitter and pod clips, you can understand why these guys got popular so quick (they’re elite at what they do)
